Recently a whole lot of exciting new things are going on on the net, due to this my November's finds are of virtual nature.

Also, los geht's:
Here we go:
For all costumers who complained about the lack of fashion plates for gentlemen's attire, should see the highly rewarding recommenadtion over at the Atelier Polonaise.
And while planning new dresses the (very desperate)  urge for appropriate and historical authentic fabrics often arises - but do not despair any longer, just visit a new wonderful source at Maggie May's Dress Diaries!
And last but not least, every outfit needs matching footwear, which the American Duchess presents with her late 18th century shoes, the Pemberleys.

But there's also a "real" find for this month. Back in October I've introduced a Biedermeier chair in an amazing plight, which has turned into a fair chair over the past few weeks.
Upholstery proofed to be a lot of fun and I thoroughly enjoyed working with materials like springs, linen, afrique and horsehair as much as learning historical authentic upholstery methods - maybe a detailed picture post will follow.

  2. Dear Sabine,
Good afternoon! Your chair turned out comfortably gracious looking: Der sieht sehr gemuetlich aus. Probably strange wording, but the cushioning looks soft and inviting. At the same time, it is streamlined and befits the space. Bravo!

Very best from another comfortable, tho' less chic, chair in dank, dim and drippy Kentucky,

    Natalie
