Damals schon untrennbar: Frauen & Taschen

Eines vorweg: ich habe ein absolutes Faible für ungewöhnliche Retiküls!

Schon seit einiger Zeit habe ich dieses wunderschöne Retikül bewundert.

Als mir dann ein Stück Häkelarbeit in die Hände fiel, stand fest: ein neues Täschchen muß her.

Die Tasche ist aus cremefarbener Seide, cremefarbenem Seidenrips und selbstgefärbter Baumwolle (Futter) gefertigt.

Die Plakette besteht aus Pappe mit dickem Filz, bezogen mit Seide, darauf habe ich (wie im Original) eine Pappe montiert. Ich sammele alte Pappen, die zumeist achtlos auf dem Sperrmüll landen - die richtig alten aus beigem Papier und möglichst mit Stockflecken. Das Bild zeigt Prinz Constantin von Weimar (1783). Es ist die Abblidung eines Kupferstiches aus einer Broschüre.

Der obere Rand ist mit einer Effile vom Polsterer (Danke nochmal an Raumausstattung Christiani in Menden!!!) verziert.

Die Tasche mißt - wie das Original - etwa 25 cm im Durchmesser.

Als Band dient feine Seide mit Schleifchen.

I have a weakness for unusual reticules to begin with!

I admired this particular beautiful reticule for quite some time.

The moment I've found a piece of crochet in my fabric stash, I knew: a new bag is due!

The tiny bag is made of creme coloured silk, creme coloured silk faille and tea dyed cotton (lining).

The picture frame is made of thick cardboard and felt covered with silk, on top I have (like the original piece) attached a picture on a piece of cardboard.

I collect old cardboard boxes, which are often thrown away - those really old cardboard boxes from cremecolored paper and with damp stains on it.

The picture shows Prince Constantine of Weimar (1783).

I have taken it from a leaflet, it is a photography from an engraving.

The top of the reticule is embelished with effile from the upholstery shop.

The bag measures 25 cm in diametre (just like the original).

It is closed with silk ribbon and tiny ties.
