Finally - and with major delay - my springlike interpretation of the Robe de Marcelline from the 1812s Costume Parisien is done!
Ich habe für die Herstellung 3 Meter lindgrün karierten Baumwollstoff benötigt und für die Rüschen nochmal etwa einen Meter in einem kleineren Karo.
Das Kleid ist vorne gekreuzt und hat einen Verschluß mit Bändern auf dem Rücken.
Um den schönen Schwung im Rock zu bekommen, habe ich das vordere Panel trapezförmig zugeschnitten.
Unter dem Kleid verbirgt sich ein Unterhemd, ein Korsett, ein Unterrock sowie eine Chemisette.
I needed about 3.02 yard of spring green Gingham cotton and 1 yard with smaller Gingham pattern for the ruffle.
The dress is crossed at the front and has a back closure with ribbons.
To get the beautiful flounce in the skirt, I did cut the front panel in a trapeze, instead of a square.
I wear a shirt, a corset, a petticoat and a chemisette with the dress.
Die ausgestanzten Rüschen wirken etwas dunkler, da das Karo kleiner ist und ich drei doppelte Reihen Rüschen angenäht habe.
The ruffle with the scalloped edges may look a bit darker just because the gingham check is smaller and I've sewn three double rows of ruffles.

Und ich konnte einfach nicht widerstehen, dem Apfelgrün ein frisches Gelb hinzuzufügen. Da kommen Frühlingsgefühle auf, oder?!
I couldn't help but add a fresh dashing yellow to the applegreen of the dress. Feels like spring, no?!
