Wir machen blau!

In der nächsten Woche steht eine kleine private Veranstaltung ins Haus und aus diesem Grunde muß ein neues Tageskleid her. Schlicht sollte es sein, aber trotzdem mit einigen Hinguckern im Detail.

Diesmal hatte ich keinen bestimmten Modekupfer im Sinn.

Das Kleid besteht aus stahlblauem Baumwollsatin. Das Oberteil ist mit weißem Leinen gefüttert, der Rock ungefüttert. Die Säume sind zum Teil gepaspelt. Das Kleid wird auf dem Rücken mit Haken und Ösen geschlossen.

Als Schnitt für den Rock dient das Muster "shaped skirt 1820" aus Jean Hunnisetts Buch "Period Costume for Stage and Screen 1800-1909".

Bisher sind Rockteil und Oberteil fertiggestellt.

Next week we'll have a costume event, so there's a reason for a new daydress. I want it to be plain, but with some lovely details.

This time I don't have a certain  fashion plate on my mind.

The dress is made of steel blue cotton sateen. The bodice is lined with white linnen, the skirt is unlined. Some of the seams are piped.

The dress has back closure with hooks and eyes.

I follow Jean Hunnisett's pattern for "shaped skirt 1820" from the book "Period Costume for Stage and Screen".

So far the bodice and skirt are done.
