Have a little "spencer sneak peek"

Derzeit stichele ich mal wieder an einem Kleidungsstück, das von der Sammlung des Kyoto Fashion Institutes inspiriert wurde - nämlich an einem Spencer.

 Statt des Samtes habe ich mich allerdings - sehr sommerlich - für Seidenrips entschieden. 

Hier ein paar erste Eindrücke, bis zur Fertigstellung werden wohl noch ein paar Tage vergehen:

I currently work on another piece inspired by the collection of the Kyoto Costume Institute - a spencer.

I have decided on silk, instead of velvet. 

Here's a first impression, although I guess it will take some more days until the garment is finally finished.

Die Ärmel sind bislang nur angesteckt - der Kragen und die Verzierungen fehlen noch/the sleeves are not sewn in yet, only pinned - the collar and trimmings still missing

Und hier noch ein Blick auf das Original vom Kyoto Costume Institute. Der Spencer ist zudem in dem Buch "Fashion" abgebildet, dort allerdings in Kombination mit einem weißen Musselinkleid - bislang habe ich  noch nicht entschieden, ob ich auch noch einen passenden Rock dazu fertige...

And here's the original piece from the Kyoto Costume Institute. The spencer is also shown in the book "Fashion", where it's mounted with a white musslin dress - I haven't decided yet, wether to sew a matching skirt, too.
